真鍮鋳肌のペーパーウエイトです。「三角」「菱形」「四角」の形があります。３種類とも丁度クルミの実ぐらいのサイズで、手の中に気持ちよく収まります。多面体ですが、全ての面が平行面なので手にしたときに持ち上げやすいです。
表面仕上げは高岡鋳物が培ってきた真鍮の伝統的着色技法『黒ムラ』。古代の発掘品のような佇まいを見せています。一般的な塗装やメッキとは異なり、画一的ではなく、ひとつひとつ表情があり、暖かみのある古美な金属の表情を作ります。使いこむと経年変化により、味わい・色味が深まり、真鍮鋳肌と同じように深い色に落ちつきます。
『黒ムラ』は、漆をベースに顔料を混ぜて調合した塗料で着色し、その後、熱を加えながら、刷毛を使って「おはぐろ」を刷り込み、ムラや表情をつけていきます。
仏具や仏像を昔から手がけてきた高岡鋳物に古くから伝わる着色技法です。

The traditional brass coloring technique "Black Mottled Coloring," cultivated by Takaoka casting, gives the appearance of an ancient artifact. Unlike standard painting or plating, this method creates a unique and warm antique metal look with each piece displaying individual characteristics. As you use it, the brass develops a patina over time, deepening its color and adding richness to its appearance, similar to the aging process of brass-cast textures.
